Integrating Agile Development in the Real World
By Peter Schuh
Quick Overview:
This book provides a great resource for anyone trying to introduce Agile Development into a software effort. A big part of the purpose of this book is to help you add Agile methodology in an Agile manner.
Review:
Introducing Agile practices to a development effort isn't neccessarily an easy thing - not everyone on a project understands the value that Agile brings to the mix. And even worse, often it is the people who are most affected (the owners/upper management with big stock option packages and bonuses tied to profits and what-not) or those most able to make improvements happen (project managers, product managers, directors, and... what-not) who are the biggest impediments to the process.
This book provides a lot of ideas on how to introduce Agile practices into your environment, and how to secretly force others to do your bidding. More or less.
My Recommendation:
I bought this book and read it cover to cover. I've found it very helpful, and chock-full of usable information. And I don't even know what chocks are.
